     Jack Rodney’s a teacher, a songwriter with enough words & music to fill a fifty CD set, an artist living in a futuristic cityscape, and a budding author of a dozen or so books. A father of three, a husband to one, and a generally okay guy whose pug licks him to death. That’s pretty much me. I’ve been busy these last fifty-two years. 
    My books are about a passion of mine--Life Lessons I’ve Learned from the Beatles, humorous stories I’ve lived and retold for decades--Childhood Memories—and Worse, my real ghost story--The Hand in the Haunted Radio Station, and a series of children’s stories about my favorite cloud--The Adventures of Foggy the Cloud.
     A native of Pittsburgh by way of New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Seattle, Jack currently lives in Washington, while his alter ego, Foggy the Cloud, lives with his friends in the Skyborhood.  These are my first four published projects.       When I first wrote AMERICA IS A MIRACLE in 1988, I was spending my summers off from teaching traveling the country. The places that most affected me were the Vietnam Memorial, a cruise on the Baltimore Bay where Scott Key wrote the national anthem, and the Redwood Forest. I wrote my impressions into a song and recorded it in hopes of sharing it as a record. Unfortunately, every company I approached laughed at me.
      Patriotic songs? Are you kidding? Who'd listen?
And then 9/11. The days when no planes flew. My friend was so distraught when she stared across the bay and saw the first tower down, she turned around. When she looked again, the last had fallen. My rewrite of AMERICA IS A MIRACLE is my call for us to remember the spirit that is America and to believe that our best days are still ahead.

     Whether you're about to become a father, you are a father, you know a father, or you've been a kid, you need to hear this CD!
     It's funny, I'm warning you. But I promise your fatherhood will go a lot smoother if you hear my Guide first. I sure wish somebody had made this for me before my first child was born. That's true. Now don't operate heavy machinery while listening to this disc. You'll need both hands to change diapers!
